Lightcheck and safety plug
Coil n’ Wrap, Surprise, Ariz., presents the Lightcheck and safety plug, a product designed to make easier to check out the lights on a trailer or fifth wheel by eliminating the need to plug a unit into the tow vehicle to check to see if the lights are working. By plugging in the 7-pin electrical plug from the unit into the Lightcheck, the lights on the unit will come on. The turn signals, brake lights and the amber warning light on Lightcheck will blink and the clearance lights will remain lit. There must be a charged battery on the unit for the Lightcheck to perform this check. The Lightcheck will also work with LED lights.
The safety plug aspect makes it safer to park a rig on the side of the road if necessary due to a breakdown, without needing to be concerned about it being a road hazard. By plugging in the 7-pin electrical plug into the Lightcheck, the clearance lights will illuminate and the signal lights and brake lights will blink from anywhere from 10-24 hours, depending on the condition and number of batteries on board.
