PRXB exhaust brake

Pacbrake's PRXB exhaust brake redefines the capabilities of an exhaust brake. An exhaust brake consists of a butterfly valve inserted in the exhaust system. When a foot comes off the gas pedal, the valve closes and the backpressure created slows the engine down, resulting in brake horsepower.

• Patented air valve closes as the engine's rpms begin to drop
• At 1,200 rpm the PRXB creates the same braking power as a traditional exhaust brake does at 2,200 rpm
• In a recent field test, a 15,000-pound truck and trailer running down a five percent grade hill, stopped 300 feet shorter than a similar truck with a standard exhaust brake
